halokinesis

Halokinesis aims to transform analog signals (with an emphasis on EEG data) into tangible visual and aural components in order to explore possibilities of physical interaction possibilities. An alternative representation of analog data is produced by the system for the purposes of creating a volume within which said data can be manipulated.

Analog wave states are mapped to a binary grid that can switch states visually and aurally. Webcam input provides the adversarial component to the signal data. Two different forms of input compete within the system to for the domination of the visual and aural output.
